I’ve been obsessed with telling stories since I was 8 years old, particularly through the medium of film. My constant desire to create, and far too many hours of trial & error, has allowed me to acquire a working understanding behind the art of this media. Though still an amateur, I've had the fortune to collaborate with charities such as SoCo and Mother's Choice in Hong Kong, to spread awareness towards each of their causes through documentaries.

As I continue to grow as a filmmaker, my ultimate goal is to develop an imprint to those who experience my work, and to promote positive change, cultivating awareness of global issues. On this page you'll find a few of my short films and documentaries, as well as some behind-the-scenes 'challenge' videos to stretch and improve my artistic skills!

SHORT FILMS
DOCUMENTARIES AND STRETCHING MY SKILLS

Two Schoolboys Set Out To Unmask The Mysterious Santa.

A wholesome comedy. Patrick recounts his time in a 1970s boarding school, when he and his friend set out to uncover who had been sneaking into dorms every Christmas night.

Short Films

In the last eight years, whenever I had a spare moment, I always picked my camera and started filming. I’ve created hundreds of short films since 2018, whether it be a mini action-sequence or a month-long passion project. Here’s a short selection of my favourites from the last year!

Drop the Mask (2025)

Two Schoolboys Set Out To Unmask The Mysterious Santa.

Patrick recounts his time in a 1970s boarding school, when he and his friend set out to uncover who had been sneaking into dorms every Christmas night.

This project was three-months in the making, and showcases some of my proudest cinematography and action sequences. Involving 28 people, and premiering in the annual Eton Founder’s Feast, I was glad this film could act as platform to showcase the school’s creative talents! IMDb Page.

Dead Wrong (2025)

3 Friends Stay Up Late at Night. Something Goes Terribly Wrong.

Jacob, Joseph and Will are staying up late at night. An accident occurs and Joseph's presumed dead. The other two try to conceal the crime by whatever means possible. Hiring a body replacement goes wrong as an unhinged detective joins.

This comedy action short film was my biggest project to date. Featuring 7 locations, 13 actors, and spanning 8 months - it was a dream collaborating with my friends to create something fun together. Watch out for the cameo from Eton College’s Provost, Sir Nicholas Coleridge! IMDb Page.

Pants on Fire (2025)

Two girls frantically working on their college applications get transported into a bizarre gameshow, where the key to winning is not what you’d expect.

I'm grateful to have been assigned director for one of four main film projects at the Interlochen Centre of Arts in July 2025. This satire short film was written by a former student, and explores the emotional weight of applying to university. This project was a great opportunity to engage in active collaboration and leadership, and I found it exciting being able to connect with my fellow creatives through this production!

No More Secrets (2024)

George and Sam's warm friendship turns cold as Sam has an internal revelation. Through confrontations about his social situation, George's darkest secret is revealed.

This was the first film I completed at Eton, and it was overwhelming to have access to professional-level gear! As I learnt how to control the Film Unit’s various equipment, I was able to capture down exactly what I had imagined.

Best Original Score, Eton Summer Film Festival. IMDb Page.

The Magic Pen (2024)

An exhausted student serendipitously finds a special pen, which yields unexpected capabilties.

I, and my team of three, had five days to turn my intriguing thought into a fully fledged visual story. With access to superb tools and gear from the New York Film Academy - I was able to try exploring different camera techniques, editing effects, and storytelling components which I had never used before. With the challenge of no diegetic sound, all sound effects from this film were carefully added in post-production.

A Century of Cinema (2025)

An experimental action microfilm, displaying a hundred years of cinematic progression in full effect. This short action chase scene spans from the style of a 1920s Silent Era film to a 21st Century Blockbuster.

This film was produced as part of a collection of film challenges to test my skills.

Best Editing, Eton Summer Film Festival.

EXPT: The Awakening (2024)

An exhausted student decides to procrastinate on his essay. Following an ear-piercing screech, he finds himself transported into a mysterious dimension.

3 years prior, I attempted to create an entire short in the span of a day - I now wanted to try to do so in just 60 minutes. This challenge required a great sense of time management; juggling scriptwriting, filming, and post-production work in such a short amount of time was not easy. This exercise helped me work on my efficiency - something vital in the craft!

Documentaries & Stretching My Skills

Every Moment That Defined 2024

2024 has been one of the more significant years of the last decade. It was the biggest election year in modern history, with over 60 countries’ governments on the ballot. That’s three and a half billion people who have a stake. I’m highlighting 24 key moments that took place in the year, from political to Olympical.

I Made a Movie Blindfolded

I attempt to film an entire short film without the use of vision. With help from my brother Karsten and some editing magic, I try to turn a blurry mess cinematic.

I Made 100 Years of Movies

Let’s learn about the history of filmmaking by creating a short film in the style of a 1920s silent film, a 1950s Hollywood golden era film, a 1980s blockbuster, and a 2020s masterpiece.

How Elements Are Made, in 3 Minutes.

Everything around us is made of tiny building blocks called elements. We always study how they interact with each other, but we never actually learn how they were formed in the first place. Co-written with Darren Yu for the 2025 Junior Moseley Prize - 2nd Place.

I Spent Seven Days In Paris

Palais Garnier, Lourdes, Rugby Olympics, The Louvre. I Spent 7 Days in France With My Family - This is the Fully Documented Story.

I Made a Movie Next to Strangers

I made a short film in progressively busier places around my home city of Hong Kong, from the iconic Star Ferry to the stunning Tram. This video was incredibly fun yet distressing to record!
