Hi, I’m Kaius!

I’ve always had a passion for telling stories. I believe everyone has a story to tell, and empowering these voices by bringing their experiences to life has always been a dream of mine. Storytelling is the one power which can transcend any barrier, and it can help bring us a step closer to making the world a more connected place.

Films have been my favourite medium since I was eight, as it captures the soul most convincingly. Every sound and visual, when layered intentionally, can speak ten thousand words. At the 2025 Eton Film Festival, it was encouraging to be awarded Most Dedication and Best Editing for ‘Dead Wrong’, as well as one of two annual Arts Colours for my fifty-person house (x2). Being elected director at a course in Interlochen Centre of Arts taught me how to positively collaborate with a 12-person crew. See the trailer for my latest film on the power of house spirit, showcasing some of my proudest cinematography and action sequences, and involving twenty-eight people!

I run a passion-fuelled Youtube channel, where I stretch my filmmaking by attempting a range of challenges, which has received positivity from some of the platform’s largest creators, including a cold-email from YouTuber Airrack (17M+ subscribers). See below.

I also operate an experimental channel with edutainment short-form videos, where I’ve learnt how to captivate attention and let my editing flourish. Amassing 32,000 followers and 45,000 hours watched combined, I’m glad my videos spark a little joy across the globe.

Varun Bchuchar (Airrack CCO): We like your frenetic style of editing and engaging way of keeping the viewer watching.

Outside filmmaking, I enjoy working on projects with the same goal of CREATING IMPACT VIA STORYTELLING.

Busy Buttons helps thousands of children though creative classes that nurture skills, confidence, and self expression. Touched by their mission for young people, I produced a documentary to let the founders tell their story and be the charity’s flagship permanent content. My friend and I also redesigned their digital branding, fundraised by biking, and did everything we could to campaign for their cause. We were fortunate to win our school Eton College’s 2026 Social Impact Challenge, which secured over £5,000 in funding as one of 5 annual Eton Action Charities.

I’m especially proud to have been part of UNICEF UK’s select 8-member Youth Advisory Board (2023 - 2025). We acted as a voice on children’s rights, raising awareness on vital issues for young people through weekly meetings and external conferences. Key highlights have been interviewing candidates for the Chief Executive role as part of a 4-person panel, designing a digital campaign urging supporters to contact their MPs for COP29, and speaking in a panel at UNICEF’s Global Coalition for Youth Mental Health event hosted by Spotify.

In 2023, I completed my first novel after working on it for two years, detailing the story of a video creator hacked by a terrorist organisation. It was about the time when horrific images of the Turkey-Syria earthquake started to circulate online. After weeks of campaigning through my book, I was thrilled to share I raised a total of HK$100,000 (£9,500) for UNHCR and UNICEF to provide relief to victims in Turkey and Syria. With 10% of the proceeds given to the Dragon School, I was the 1st student in my prep school’s history to receive a Donor Pin.

At age 10, I wrote and published a book to fundraise for COVID relief. I managed to raise HK$200,000 for the Society for Community Organisation to support grass-root families, as well as the Oxford Vaccine Group for equipment. I interviewed Prof. Andrew Pollard and Dr. Bruno Holtof at the Oxford University Hospitals, and spoke in a live interview for BBC Oxford.

In 2022, I designed a website and videos to raise awareness for displaced families in Ukraine. I also biked 100km and was able to raise HK$100,000 for UNHCR. I was thrilled to receive a commendation from their community fundraising team, which motivated me to keep raising my voice!

More recently, I gave a morning speech to my year cohort (260+) about my film passion in order to rally the return for the Film Unit. The issue was subsequently escalated to the Senior Leadership Team.

A few other hobbies of mine are, naturally, singing and performance. I’m a proud chorister at Eton and hold an ABRSM Singing Diploma (currently pursuing the LRSM to widen my repertoire!). I’ve achieved runner-up in the prestigious Loder and Hawtrey (Latin) Declamations, and dabbled in acting as a finalist in the House Duologue Competition and LAMDA Grade 7 Distinction holder; they’re great opportunities to explore human emotion! In my spare time, I take part as a select member of the Debating Squad, as well as Burke’s Philosophy Club, CCF, and Film Unit.

I am my house’s Environmental Representative. My five minute documentary raising awareness on Antartica was sent up for good (“a level of academic attainment by a boy during the course of a half that is distinguished even by the highest standards of his block”) and selected to be archived in College Library permanently. It will be used in the school’s social media and website.

As a core member of the Eton College Journalism Association, I also like to photograph and write for the school and its premiere magazines, such as for the The Hestia (Classics), The Speaker (Politics), and The Chronicle. It has allowed me to hone my style of voice and serves as another fascinating lens for storytelling.

I’m hoping to pursue Latin, Greek, Religion and Maths for A-Level. Languages erode a tall barrier for connection and form my favourite branch of academics. I’ve placed top quarter in my year - having come 1st in Maths B, 3rd Latin B and German, and 10th in English. I’ve also been runner-up for the year wide (260+) English and Religious Studies essay prizes, and have garnered 143 academic ‘show-ups’ (6th in cohort) and 42 termly ‘Commendations for Good Effort’ in my last three years at Eton. Two Schoolboys Set Out To Unmask The Mysterious Santa.

Patrick recounts his time in a 1970s boarding school, when he and his friend set out to uncover who had been sneaking into dorms every Christmas night.

This project was three-months in the making, and showcases some of my proudest cinematography and action sequences. Involving 28 people, and premiering in the annual Eton Founder’s Feast, I was glad this film could act as platform to showcase the school’s creative talents! IMDb Page.

Pants on Fire (2025)

Two girls frantically working on their college applications get transported into a bizarre gameshow, where the key to winning is not what you’d expect.

I'm grateful to have been assigned director for one of four main film projects at the Interlochen Centre of Arts in July 2025. This satire short film was written by a former student, and explores the emotional weight of applying to university. This project was a great opportunity to engage in active collaboration and leadership, and I found it exciting being able to connect with my fellow creatives through this production!

No More Secrets (2024)

George and Sam's warm friendship turns cold as Sam has an internal revelation. Through confrontations about his social situation, George's darkest secret is revealed.

This was the first film I completed at Eton, and it was overwhelming to have access to professional-level gear! As I learnt how to control the Film Unit’s various equipment, I was able to capture down exactly what I had imagined.

Best Original Score, Eton Summer Film Festival. IMDb Page.
